How to use circular saw without table?

Circular saws are one of the most common types of an electric saw. They are defined by their unique working mechanism. It uses circular motion to cut a material unlike up/down movement. A traditional saw uses to and fro movement. It might be an effective method but it is not very efficient. That is because it requires more energy and might be more time consuming.

The circular motion, however, takes less time to cut an object and does not require much energy either. In both ways, circular saw is more beneficial. Circular saws are also popular due to their small size and light weight.

However, a circular saw requires a table to work. The table provides stability and gives accurate results. Without the table, a circular saw might not deliver the same results. It is not only the circular saw that uses a table.

There are a number of electric saws that require a table in order to cut an object. But the question is can you really work with them without the table? Well, the answer is YES. And, there are two ways to do it. So, let’s take a look at them and provide you a clearer picture on how to use circular saw without table? Let’s get started.

The first way requires a pressure treated plywood. You can use any other wood that is high on moisture. To start cutting, set the depth of your circular saw. The depth is set according to the material of the object. Since we are talking about wood here, a quarter inch is recommended.

The depth must be adjusted well so that your circular saws instantly cut through the object. After you are done with that, fit the saw at the edge of the object.

The second method requires using a track. You can either buy a track or make it yourself. They are quite inexpensive if you consider buying one. However, if you want to make one, you would need a few things. The basic equipment like pencil, tape measure, square, chalk line, drill, and screws is required to make a track.

There are countless tutorials that are available online. They will teach you everything about how to make a track. Once you have built it, you can place it under the object and start cutting objects with the circular saw.

One thing to note is the size of the track. Make sure that you have made a track that can support the size of the objects you want to cut. If not, it would be proven ineffective.

By using either of these two methods you can start cutting with your circular saw without a table. However, to use any method you would require an efficient circular saw. If your circular saw is not powerful enough, it cannot do the job, not even with a table.

Although there are some options available in the market that are equipped with their own tables, they are quite expensive. Not everyone can afford them. These methods, however, can be used by every individual.
