Super Automatic Type:

This model includes a built-in grinder. All of the tasks involved with making espresso are done automatically. From the milling of coffee beans to the compression of ground coffee to the distillation of espresso, everything is done by hand. Pour the coffee beans into the bean hopper and then press a selected buttons. The rest is completely automated.

Steam Driven Type:

To extract espresso, this type of espresso machine uses steam to push water through a bed of coffee. They are not technically speaking true espresso machines because they can only generate roughly 2 bars of compression. This is far less than the suggested 9 bars of pressure for generating an espresso with a nice texture layer. This type of machine is a lot cheaper may be you can get one of these on just few bucks.

Manual Espresso type:

The first machines to generate Americano with a crema layer have been manual espresso makers. It uses a piston method and a lever to produce the 9 bar pressures required for espresso production. Manual espresso makers actually require a thorough understanding of the espresso-making process. As a result, they are better suited for experienced espresso lovers who prefer complete control over the espresso-making process.
